Southern Hardware was founded in Helena Arkansas in 1914 to provide products for the timber industry. That early start continued and evolved through the years, moving Southern’s focus from the timber industry to becoming a full line Hardware Distributor with a heavy emphasis on products for the farming industry.

In 2010, Southern became a part of the Bostwick-Braun Company, located in Toledo Ohio. Bostwick is an ESOP (employee owned company) and a full line hardware wholesaler. Becoming part of the Bostwick family of companies gave our customers access to an additional 40,000 SKU’s. After they purchased Southern they immediately invested in our warehouse and more than doubled its size. This allowed us to now inventory all the products our customers are looking for and provide them at very competitive prices.

Southern Hardware presently serves customers in Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas. Southern Hardware has some of the best field sales reps in the industry that call on our customers weekly and provides delivery via its own fleet of trucks both closed trailers and flat beds.

The Bostwick-Braun Company is a wholesale hardware distributor, one of the largest and oldest in the Midwest. For over 160 years, we’ve been assisting stores with not only their supply needs, but also with business services, guidance and advice to ensure their own longevity.
